Please participate: New online survey for everyone who works with dogs

Anyone who works professionally with dogs knows that daily life, training, and treatment depend entirely on the dog's cooperation. A new online survey addresses precisely this need and urgently requires your support.

You can access the survey directly via the following link: https://www.umfrageonline.com/c/k9andsports

What is it about?

Simon Bach from the Science Working Group has launched a new survey. It is aimed at all professional groups who work with dogs, including:

  • Dog trainers

  • Working dog handlers

  • Veterinarians

  • Physiotherapists

  • Groomers / Dog groomers

The aim is to collect sound data from practical experience and to make visible the role that education, handling and training play in the professional handling of dogs.

What do the results so far indicate?

The latest survey, in which 126 veterinarians participated, revealed a clear picture:

➡️ Trained working dogs are easier to handle and fare significantly better in treatment than untrained family dogs.

This finding is important – not only for everyday practice, but also for the professional and social classification of working dogs and their training.

Why your participation is so important

The more data we collect, the stronger and more reliable the results become. Broad participation from various professional groups ensures that practical experience is not lost but heard.

Here's how you can provide additional support

  • Please forward the survey to your veterinarians and colleagues.

  • Share them in professional networks and specialist groups.

  • Ask clubs or associations to contribute to their channels or to be included in a newsletter for their members.
