To continue practicing our sport, so that there are still operational working dogs in the future, we must represent our interests well. Organizations and associations worldwide need to stand together. Sport and authorities want to grow together again.

We want to educate the public about the value of working dogs to society. We want to counteract prejudice against these dogs and sports. We want to actually reach the public by making use of modern channels.
We will cooperate with administrators of working K-9 Programs in connection with sport, public relations and breeding.
We want to support and engage with children and young adults who are interested in both sports and K9-related jobs - whatever breed they may have, wherever they may live.

🇺🇸 At K9 and Sports, we are grateful that active service authorities and their members—like Kevin Kröber, instructor for special working dogs in the German Armed Forces —are finally speaking out in favor of our sport. Because it is crucial for the gene pool of service dogs. Because we do not produce fighting machines. We develop social, eager-to-work, and healthy working dogs. For a sport that the public should finally experience and recognize for what it truly is—important. For everyone. And most of all, for the dogs themselves, who truly love their “work.”

We need to put an end to this craziness. For too long we quietly and politely ignore the nutty professors out there telling the public our story filling peoples heads with visions of abuse and mistreatment. Before you know it some dude that's never held a leash or understands the value of working K9's is writing a law to Ban a Sport, tool, or bread. This has to end, .. not just end but be reversed in every country its taken foothold in.
100% agree, but I want to be able to use my dog as protection as well.

Gebrauchshunde sind nicht gefährlich – sie sind vielseitig, intelligent und sozial! Der IGP-Sport bietet ihnen nicht nur eine artgerechte Beschäftigung, sondern macht sie auch zu ausgeglichenen, gehorsamen und zuverlässigen Partnern im Alltag. 💪
Das Projekt Gebrauchshund als Schulhund zeigt eindrucksvoll, wie leistungsstarke Hunde wie der Deutsche Schäferhund nicht nur im Sport oder Dienst, sondern auch im Klassenzimmer glänzen können.
Zeit, mit den Vorurteilen aufzuräumen! Diese Hunde sind nicht aggressiv – sie sind klug, souverän und perfekt erzogen.

We have been breeding GSD officially since 1984, we used to have dog show dogs but it turned in '90 we fully concentrated in the work bloodline, not only IGP SPORT, but I also study psychology side of work bloodline GSD which helps me which pup is suitable for next handler - sport, family, police, military,rescue mountain Service, etc person. The GSD is able to work or is useful for various environments in Life with people. Believe, Breath and Live with GSD 🤍🐺
