During the summer holidays, Gesa’s Dog School in Lütjensee is offering a special dog training course for children and teenagers. The holiday course is led by Bärbel Wingberg, who provides young participants and their dogs with varied training sessions and valuable insights into dog training.

The collaboration gave rise to the idea of ​​introducing children and young people to the K9 and Sports IGP Youngstars Academy and offering them a free training day as part of the holiday course.

Am 29. Juni 2026 war es schließlich so weit: Gemeinsam mit Nele und Fips, Teresa und Cleo, Hanna und Fine, Frida und Hummel sowie Laura und Balou durften wir einen großartigen Trainingstag erleben.

All the teams already demonstrated an impressive level of proficiency. The motivation, enthusiasm, and great eagerness to learn shown by the young handlers were particularly striking. Working together with their dogs, they tackled the various exercises with joy, focus, and dedication, while attentively taking on board new suggestions.

The training day demonstrated once again just how much enthusiasm young people can develop for working with their dogs when they receive age-appropriate guidance and encouragement. Beyond the athletic training itself, the focus was primarily on mutual understanding, fair training methods, and the enjoyment of the shared activity.

Thus, the day became a thoroughly successful experience for everyone involved.
