Man freut sich über den Titel.
Aber was bleibt, sind die Geschichten, die man Jahre später noch erzählt.

Irgendwas geht immer schief.
Wind, Verletzungen, Allergien – man geht trotzdem rein und zieht durch.

Und trotzdem unterschätzen die meisten ihre Leistung.
Diensthunde wie Fenja sind hochspezialisierte Partner – keine „normalen“ Hunde.
Sie erkennen kleinste Geruchspartikel in Sekunden und arbeiten oft präziser als Technik.
👉 Geruchserkennung bis zu 1 : 1.000.000
👉 Finden Bargeld, Rauschmittel oder Sprengstoffe – selbst unter Extrembedingungen
👉 Sie arbeiten als eingespieltes Team mit ihrem Hundeführer

🇩🇪 Thema Hund im Heimat- und Sachkundeunterricht
Am 24. März hielt Anna Steinmüller eine spannende Online-Fortbildung für Lehrer rund um das Thema „Hund im Unterricht“.
Besonders im Fokus stand die Frage, wie Hunde sinnvoll und pädagogisch wertvoll in den Unterricht eingebunden werden können. Gleichzeitig wurden auch Herausforderungen thematisiert, wie bürokratische Hürden und bestehende Vorurteile, die den Einsatz von Gebrauchshunden im schulischen Kontext erschweren.
Gerade deshalb ist es wichtig Projekte, wie diese zu fördern und durch Aufklärung mittels fundiertes Wissen ein realistisches und differenziertes Bild zu vermitteln.
Eins ist klar, wir müssen auch in der Zukunft weitere Aufklärungsarbeit leisten und somit Schulhunde sinnvoll und ohne zusätzlichen Aufwand in den Schulalltag einbinden.

🇺🇸 The topic of dogs in social and science education
On March 24, Anna Steinmüller held an engaging online training session for teachers centered around the topic of “dogs in the classroom.”
A key focus was the question of how dogs can be meaningfully and pedagogically integrated into lessons. At the same time, challenges were also addressed, such as bureaucratic hurdles and existing prejudices that make the use of working dogs in a school context more difficult.
This is exactly why it is important to support projects like this and, through education and well-founded knowledge, convey a realistic and differentiated perspective.
One thing is clear: we must continue to invest in educational work in the future and thereby integrate school dogs into everyday school life in a meaningful way and without additional effort.
